Plan Your Trip

How to get there.

Our 3-day, 3-night wedding festivities will take place on a beautiful hillside villa and vineyard in the Italian countryside—bordering the iconic historic town of Lucca. There are a variety of transportation options that can be customized based on your personal travel plans.

Note: There are no direct flights from the United States to Tuscany so regardless of the airport you choose to fly into, there will be a European layover.

FLORENCE AIRPORT (FLR) to LUCCA:

Train: 1.5 hours | Car (direct route): 50 minutes | Car (scenic route): 2 hours

PISA AIRPORT (PSA) to LUCCA:

Train: 45 minutes | Car (direct route): 30 minutes | Car (scenic route): 50 minutes

  • Florence Amerigo Vespucci Airport: This will be the most common airport to fly into from the United States and will give you easy access to travel around Tuscany.

Pisa International Airport: This airport is very close to Lucca and the venue. You can fly here from the U.S. and also from other countries + cities within Italy.

  • Renting a car isn’t necessary to get to the venue from Florence or Pisa BUT, if you plan to explore Tuscany prior to our wedding, it would be helpful.

There are some beautiful drives throughout the hills of Tuscany. We will provide a scenic drive option for those who want to experience sights between Florence and Lucca.

If you plan to travel by car AFTER the wedding, you will save money doing so in Lucca upon departure from the villa on the 15th.

  • Yes! We highly recommend taking the ItaliaRail from Florence to Lucca. It is a 1.5 hr trip and is $15 per ticket. From Lucca you can bus or taxi ten minutes to the venue.

  • Yes! There is a local bus stop within walking distance of the villa that takes you into the city of Lucca.

Sleeping and eating.

We are booking all accommodations for our guests, either on the venue property or at a neighboring villa within 5 minutes walk, depending on head count.

We are asking for a small accommodation reimbursement of $100/per night, per person. (3 nights)

Your accommodations will include drinks and breakfast every day as well as the following meals:

  • Friday dinner

  • Saturday Dinner (Per Lunch: there is a wonderful pastry shop walking distance from the villa with sandwiches, gelato and more for a midday snack or lunch on Wedding day)

  • Sunday Brunch

  • Snacks

Sunday dinner plans are TBD but will most likely be out in the town of Lucca.

If you choose to only attend the wedding day and do not need accommodations (or strongly prefer to book your own) please let us know as soon as possible.

  • After RSVPs are confirmed and it’s a little closer to the event, we will send out payment details.

  • We anticipate only needing to leave the venue and surrounding area on Sunday to explore Lucca. Otherwise everything you need and all events will be at the villa or within extremely short walking distance.
